Description: Responsible for reviewing all vacancy announcements for compliance with regulatory requirements. Review all requests for personal actions for technical compliance with  regulatory requirements prior to input by Processing & Records division.  Review all SF-50’s, Notification of Personnel Action produced by the PAID system for quality control.  Author and issue Human Resource Bulletins on an “as-needed” basis.  Review the follow-up activity for P&R on a regular basis.  Update the Gains and Losses spreadsheet and assist the HR Officer in setting up the agenda for committee and recording the findings.  Monitor the scheduling & processing of new employees each pay period.

Provide data to the staff and other individuals on an as-needed basis and input the quarterly statistics to track the 45 day hiring timeline.  Review for technical accuracy all request for Recruitment/Retention/Relocation incentives as well as request for hires. Maintain the local statistics regarding these approvals.  Serve as the database administrator for this for the HR staff and other dependent staff.  Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of general clerical/administrative duties and responsibilities, and familiarity with database systems.  Experience in the field of Human Resources within a government entity is preferred.  Minimum of six months experience in a Human Resources is required for proper communication and skill factors involving applicable terminology, forms reports, etc.

Must have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to establish and maintain a positive relationship with internal and external customers.  Must be able to work independently and take a proactive role to assure that deliverable items are completed on or ahead of schedule. Formal education or training in the Human Resources industry is a plus. 

Candidates must be proficient in use of computer hardware, common computer software and switchboard products. Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company. Candidate must be able to work independently with a high level of maturity and proficiency.  Must be detail oriented with the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects and possess effective analytical and problem-solving skills.  The selected candidate shall be expected to work 2-3 days a week or as the needs of the department dictate.
 

 
  Education: BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.  High School Diploma is required.  Professional certification in the Human Resources industry is a plus.
